Abdomen Injuries

Abdomen Injuries

Abdominal injuries can range from blunt trauma such as that experienced in a fall or collision, or penetrating injuries which can cause damage to the abdominal organs. Abdominal injuries pose a general risk to internal organs as well as being a cause of blood loss and infection.

Injured in motor vehicle collisions often suffer injuries to the abdomen caused by seatbelts, with vital organs such as the liver being vulnerable to large amounts of trauma. Compensation claims for injuries to the abdomen will be affected by any significant or permanent damage caused to the internal organs.
