Leg Injuries

Leg Injuries

Leg injuries can range from sprains and heavy bruising to serious fractures and torn ligaments or tendons. Leg injuries can lead to serious mobility issues for those who suffer them, and long periods of rehabilitation are often required for the most serious of injuries.

Common causes of leg injuries include falls from height, trips, slips, road traffic accidents, and sporting accidents. If you have suffered from a serious leg injury that leads to an amputation, you can expect to be awarded high amounts of compensation in your particular case.

  • Soft tissue leg injuries with complete recovery – £1,000 to £3,500 compensation
  • Fracture to tibia or fibula (lower leg) with full recovery – approximately £5,500 to £6,500 compensation
  • Fracture to femur (thigh bone) -£6,500 to £10,000 compensation
  • Fractures to legs with incomplete recovery.  The level of the award will depend upon how long it takes to recover, whether there is any scarring or there are any other residual problems, such as damage to joints or ligaments – £12,750 to £38,500 compensation
  • Very serious leg injuries resulting in permanent mobility problems – £38,500 to £60,000 compensation
  • Leg injuries leading to surgery for bone grafting – £65,000 to £100,000 compensation
  • Amputation of Legs – £62,500 to £200,000 compensation
