Knee Injuries

Knee Injuries

Knee injuries can be caused in a number of ways such as strains, overuse and overexertion. Cartilage damage, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, are just some of the causes of knee pain that occur in many people.

As with serious leg injuries, serious knee injuries can cause long term mobility problems and even cause disability ion the most severe cases. Torn ligaments within the knee can take several months to heal and long periods of treatment and rehabilitation are often required. Knee injury compensation claims that required surgery will be much more likely to receive larger amounts of compensation.

  • Minor knee injuries sprains and simple fractures where complete recovery within a year – £1,250 to £3,750 compensation
  • Broken knee or twisted knee with incomplete recovery – up to £9,000 compensation
  • Severe knee injuries which require lengthy recuperation but achieve complete recovery – approximately £15,000 compensation
  • Severe lasting knee injuries requiring a long period of treatment with ongoing disability – e.g. knee instability £30,000 to £50,000 compensation
