The Ministry of Defence is responsible for the safety of its employees in the same way as any other employer. Whilst the MOD cannot be sued for injuries sustained during military conflict, they have a duty to ensure that employees have a safe environment to work in, in terms of sufficient training, supervision, safe equipment and sufficiently qualified colleagues in just the same way as every other employer. It is important to recognise that you only have 3 years to claim for a military accident.

You CAN and should claim against the Ministry of Defence whilst still in service, we have reassurance from the MOD that this will not affect your Armed Forces career.

When accidents occur in a military environment they can often have disastrous consequences, as personnel are often exposed to chemicals, weapons etc the MOD has a duty of care towards its personnel and this extends to training and instructions.
